Baby showers can be one of the most fun events for a new mom to be. She is happy that she is near the end of her term and she is ready to welcome her new addition to the family. However, if you are the person hosting the shower, it can feel a little overwhelming. You are in charge of the planning and organizing of an event that will be remembered by the new mom for years to come. The first thing that you will need to figure out is the invitations. This step is crucial since it is the first glimpse into the shower that the guests will see. You want to make sure you have all of the essential information. Here are a few key ideas to remember for the baby shower invitation wording:
1. Put the most important items at the top of the invitation. You don’t want people to have to read through a whole bunch of information to find what they are looking for. In this top spot, include the where, what, and when. This means who the shower is for, date and time, and location.
2. Near the bottom of the invitation, include the R.S.V.P info. You most definitely want to know who is attending so you can cater the event for the number of people and/or set up reservations accordingly.
3. Try to include if the new baby will be a boy or a girl, if the new mom knows herself or wants people to know. Include images relating to the sex of the baby on the invitation or in the wording to help evoke the feeling of the event. Make sure to use bought images or art. You do not want your princess dresses misrepresented as cheap designer wedding dresses!
4. Lastly, include the places that the new mom is registered at. People want to know what the new mom wants the most or what she needs the most.
