The Cuisinart DCC-1200BCH is the black chrome alternative to the standard DCC-1200, both coffee makers have exactly the same functionality and technology underneath the shell. The only difference is the color really. In this short review I would like to talk about the DCC-1200’s, both of them and detail why I think that this coffee maker is so worthy of your attention. I would like to hope that after you have finished reading this review, you would be at the stage where you can confidently and accurately decide whether this is the coffee machine for you and your family or not.
The main feature of this machine is the coffee.. obviously. But I mean that it tastes great. Sound like a given? Well it is, but it is also something that you see missing on a lot of coffee makers for sale these days. Weak coffee makers are aplenty folks. Not here though, the Cuisinart DCC-1200 makes coffee that tastes fantastic and it makes it consistently as well.
Then we have to move onto a slightly more negative issue, which is the carafe. The carafe on this machine leaves a little bit to be desired. With so many coffee makers that have been released in the last 10 years having thermal carafes it does leave me a little irritated that this doesn’t have one. But it is very cheap and you will be making a saving of about 20 bucks if you get this machine over one that has a thermal carafe. The real reason that it doesn’t have one however is that it was designed over 10 years ago, and the technology was a little more expensive back then. All said however this is one of the best coffee makers you can buy.
